Regional Referral Hospital has vowed to block the medical student arrested over
soliciting money from patients from continuing his practice in the hospital.
The male, 3rd year student at Soroti University
was nabbed on 2nd January 2023 soliciting money from the diabetes clinic held
once a week to test, screen and treat for diabetes.
Buyinza Twaha, the District Police Commander
Soroti Central Police station yesterday confirmed the student's arrest over
alleged soliciting of bribes from patients in the hospital. Twaha says that
they are still carrying out investigations before they can prefer charges
against the student doctor accused of picking money from patients.

return to practice at Soroti hospital.
