It was Abubakar Mayanja’s lone second-half goal that helped Coach Morley Byekwaso’s team to overcome the resilient opponents who displayed resistance throughout the game.
In the 57th minute, Mayanja capitalized on a rebound from Abas Kyeyune's shot, previously blocked by the Rwandan goalkeeper. Uganda will now wait for the winner between Kenya and Tanzania to determine who they will play in the finals.
