The former Vipers and Bright Stars head coach is
said to have checked into hospital after he felt unwell yesterday, accompanied
by fellow Ugandan coach, Matia Lule where he received treatment and returned
home.
He is said to have continued feeling well until
this morning, prompting him to return to hospital, where he has succumbed to a
yet to be identified illness.
He leaves a legacy as the man that groomed former
Uganda Cranes and Mamelodi Sundown’s goalkeeper, Denis Masinde Onyango. He was
also the goalkeeping Coach when Uganda Cranes ended the 38- year wait without
participating in the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
