Karamoja
State Minister Florence Nambozo has emphasized the need to use sports in
bridging communities.
Nambozo, also the Sironko District Woman
legislator said this at the final of an inter-sub county/town council football
tournament dubbed ‘Zaga Zaga’ Cup. The Zaga Zaga tournament was organized by
the Budadiri East Member of Parliament Isaiah Sasaga Wanzira.
According to Nambozo, sports plays a
significant role in promoting unity and national development.
Speaking at the climax of the tournament, Budadiri West Member
of Parliament Nathan Nandala Mafabi applauded MP Sasaga for the initiative
saying the tournament had showcased the profound impact of sports in uniting
communities.
MP Isaiah Sasaga said the Zaga Zaga Cup is aims at promoting
sports development among many young people in Budadiri East Constituency. The
tournament climaxed at Masaba Secondary School playground and Bumulisha Sub
County emerged champions.
