A group of people from Bududa that was reportedly mobilized to meet General Muhoozi Kainerugaba last Sunday in Mbale City has dismissed reports that LCV Chairperson Milton Kamoti Wasunguyi facilitated their transport back home.

The group which was reportedly mobilized by one Sam Mukhono got stuck in Mbale City with no food transport back home. Yesterday Bududa LCV Chairperson Milton Kamoti Wasunguyi told Elgon FM that he personally hired a lorry and gave away his official vehicle to transport the group back home after they failed to meet General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

But Yunus Wakooli one of the group members however says that they were transported back to Bududa by a UPDF army truck and on arrival each person was reportedly given 2,500 shillings.

According to Wakooli, they were assured by Sam Mukhono that a substantial amount of money and food awaited them once they set foot in Mbale City but this was not the case. He says the promises by Mukhono were enticing and many people agreed to travel.

Sam Mukhono also agrees that despite the Bududa LCV Chairperson Milton Kamoti Wasunguyi meeting the group, he never facilitated their transport back home. But Kamoti insists he mobilized transport means for the group which had been abandoned by one Sam Mukhono.
