Four Suspected Thugs Held In Bulambuli

Police in Bulambuli have arrested four suspects believed be part of a gang that has been breaking into houses and shops and making off with property.

 


Rogers Taitika the Elgon Region Police Spokesman identifies the suspects as Nabende Rogers 30 years, Nangai Steven 37, Wabulo James 27, and Womulira Israel. The suspects are all from Bumasobo Sub County.

 

Taitika says the suspects have been using sharp instruments to cut iron sheets and gain access to houses and shops.

 

Luck for the four ran out when they broke into an agro-shop owned by Moses Wokadala in Bumasobo trading centre. They attempted to steal agro-chemicals only to be cornered by residents who had kept awake. The residents wanted to lynch them but were saved by Police. Taitika says the group has also been tormenting people in the Sub Counties of Kamu, Bulegeni, Bugaya and Nabbongo.
