Budadiri West Member of Parliament Nathan Nandala Mafabi has asked journalists to popularize the Bududa trek which is slated for 31 December this year.
Nandala sounded the call on Tuesday while meeting over 50 journalists at Mountain Inn. Nandala had organized a Christmas dinner for them.
The Bududa trek will see a people move from Bududa through Mount Elgon up to Masaba Secondary School in Sironko District. Speaker of Parliament Anita Annete Among is expected to flag off the trek.
The proceeds from the trek will go towards renovating Masaba S.S in Sironko and the construction of Arlington School projects in Bududa.
Enos Maloba, the events manager, says kits for the trek go for 50,000 shillings and vests for 10,000 shillings. Maloba says the kits will be available at Mountain Inn and other designated areas.
