A 46-year-old man of Sikimbiro village, Masaka parish, Namabya Sub County in Namisindwa District is nursing wounds from an acid attack.
The victim has been identified as Fred Katambi. James Nakhaima the LC3 chairperson for Namabya Sub County says the acid attack follows a heated disagreement with between Katambi and his two brothers only known as Fred and Welikhe over ownership of a house.
Nakhaima says the mother to the three boys had given the house to Katambi. Fred and Welikhe were however not happy with the decision to hand over the house to Katambi.
He says that investigations into the matter are underway and those found to be behind the acid attack will be apprehended to face the law. Katambi is currently receiving treatment at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital.
