Uganda will host the East Africa Scouts meeting at the end of December this year in Kampala.
Florence Atto Opobo the chief commissioner for scouts speaking at a meeting for leaders of the scout’s movement in the Elgon region made the pronouncement.
Atto said Uganda has been selected and a number of activities like patriotism training are lined up. She says President Yoweri Museveni is expected to open the scouts meeting.
David Muledhu the national executive commissioner says leaders of the scouts movement were briefed on the benefits of having more young people join scouting. Muledhu says scouting trains people to love their country.
