Uganda's national Netball team, She
Cranes has today embarked on preparations ahead of the 2023 Netball World Cup
slated for July 28 to August 6th in Cape Town, South Africa.
At
least 13 players out of the 30 who were summoned last week attended the first
training session at Kamwokya TLC court under the guidance of head coach Fred
Mugerwa.
The
team is currently having a nonresidential camp and Mugerwa says the team will
enter residential camp towards the World Cup.
It
will be the third time the She Cranes play in the global showpiece after
previous appearances in 2015 and 2019.
The She Cranes finished eighth in the 2015 edition, and moved a step
better coming seventh in the 2019 edition.
